Abous Us

Tunyan Law, APC is a small, plaintiff-side law firm located in Glendale, California. Our firm is led by two partners and offers a friendly, professional, and supportive work environment where team members work closely with the attorneys and receive personal attention and guidance.

Our practice is primarily focused on employment law, representing employees in matters involving wage-and-hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related workplace claims. A significant portion of our practice involves wage-and-hour class actions and representative matters. The firm also handles immigration matters, and the person in this position may occasionally assist with immigration-related administrative work.

Because we are a small firm, this position offers an opportunity to work directly with the attorneys rather than being one of many employees in a large office. We believe in personally training our staff, providing hands-on guidance, and helping each team member develop practical legal and professional skills.

Prior legal experience is helpful but is not required. We are willing to personally train the right candidate who is responsible, motivated, organized, eager to learn, and genuinely interested in helping clients.

Job Summary

The Intake / Legal Assistant will play an important role in the firm's day-to-day operations and will often be the first point of contact for prospective and existing clients. The position will primarily support our employment law practice, including client intake, communication, case organization, document collection, and litigation-related administrative tasks. The assistant may also provide support with immigration matters as needed. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to learn how a law firm operates, develop practical legal skills, and work closely with attorneys who are committed to providing individual training and ongoing mentorship. As the assistant gains experience, responsibilities may expand based on the individual's abilities, interests, and professional growth.

· Assist with immigration-related administrative matters as needed.

· Assist with preparing, filing, and serving legal documents. Training will be provided.

· Organize and maintain electronic case files and client records.

· Provide general administrative and case-related support to the attorneys.

· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with discretion.

· Learn and use the firm's case-management software, electronic filing systems, and other legal technology.

· Assist with additional office and case-related responsibilities as the position develops.
