Founder, LawFirmHires

Pick Indeed if you hire across industries and want one general board, with free posts subject to limits and sponsored jobs billed per click or started application; pick LawFirmHires if you're hiring attorneys or legal staff and want a published, fixed price per post on a board where every listing is a legal job. For high-volume staff hiring, the two work well together.

What do LawFirmHires and Indeed each offer a law firm?

LawFirmHires is a job board built only for legal jobs.

The openings are mostly inside law firms and cover everyone a firm employs: associates, partners and of counsel, and the paralegals, legal assistants, legal secretaries, intake teams, receptionists, docketing and billing staff and firm administrators.

In-house, government, prosecutor and public defender attorney roles are listed too, across 47 role pages.

Listings arrive two ways: firms post directly and pay for the post, and other openings are collected from employers' own careers pages and public job feeds.

A collected listing links out to the original posting, so the application goes to the employer itself.

Indeed is a general job site covering every industry, legal included.

It runs dedicated hiring pages for paralegals and lawyers, and its paralegal hiring page offers new US accounts a $75 credit to sponsor a first job.

Glassdoor sits alongside Indeed: its employer page says "Grow your employer brand with Glassdoor.

Hire with Indeed."

(Glassdoor is a proprietary trademark of Indeed, Inc.) Here we treat Glassdoor as the employer-branding layer next to Indeed's hiring products.

What does each one cost a law firm?

LawFirmHires publishes its prices on the pricing page.

A Standard post is $199 and a Featured post is $399 at launch pricing (regular prices $299 and $499).

Each runs 30 days from purchase and is a one-time payment that never renews.

Firms with several openings can take a slot plan instead: Growth at $899 a month for up to 10 posts live at once with the logo on every post, or Brand at $1,749 a month for up to 25 posts with Featured placement on every post.

Slot plans are arranged by contacting LawFirmHires rather than through self-serve checkout.

Indeed's sponsored pricing has no published fixed number.

The Standard price is generated based on Indeed's recommendation system — job competitiveness, your hiring timeline and the supply of job seekers for specific job titles — and the minimum price for a specific job appears on the sponsorship page; you can set a different amount as long as it meets that minimum.

Sponsored Jobs are billed for job seeker interactions like clicks and started applications, on the first day of the month or when account spending reaches $500, whichever comes first.

Posting on Indeed can be free — Indeed says many jobs can be posted for free, subject to its terms, conditions, quality standards and usage limits — but some jobs are "sponsored only," and Indeed reserves the right to require that a job must be sponsored for any reason.

Its pricing page lists four tiers: Free, Standard ("3X more applications than free"), Premium (in the top 3 search results "2X more often" than Standard, plus the Urgently hiring label, AI matching and matched-candidate invites) and Premium Plus, a beta with an AI Recruiting Assistant.

Glassdoor's pricing isn't published on the employer page we checked.

What are the contract and cancellation terms?

LawFirmHires has nothing to sign.

A single post is a one-time payment that never renews; slot plans bill monthly and can be canceled whenever you choose, with no minimum term, and posts stay up through the month already paid for.

A post is published the moment payment goes through, and a duplicate or mistaken charge is refunded in full — other refund requests have a short window set out in the Refund Policy.

Indeed says "No long-term contracts.

You set the ad duration."

The pricing page we checked publishes no separate cancellation policy beyond that line.

Sponsored spending still follows the billing rhythm above: the first of the month, or $500 in spending, whichever comes first.

Glassdoor's contract terms aren't published on the page we checked.

Reach or focus — where do the applicants go?

Reach is where Indeed, and with it Glassdoor, make their case: Glassdoor's employer page says that together the two reach over 80% of online job seekers in the U.S. (self-reported).

A board that broad brings in applicants from every industry and career, which is what some roles need — and it means you screen for legal experience yourself.

LawFirmHires works the other way.

Every listing on the board is a legal job, so everything you see is relevant to legal hiring — though the audience is narrower.

Employers add the link where applications should go, and candidates who click Apply go straight to the firm's own form or inbox; the résumé, writing sample and references reach the firm, never through LawFirmHires.

There is no résumé database on LawFirmHires — no candidate profiles and no searchable pool.

Applicants come from the post you run and the role and city pages it appears on.

If you want AI matching and matched-candidate invites, Indeed's Premium tiers are built for that; if you want a fixed cost and a legal-only audience, that is the niche LawFirmHires is built for.

High-volume staff roles are a fair case for both: the general board for volume, the legal board for fit.

What results does each publish?

Plainly: LawFirmHires publishes no results.

There are no candidate counts, no reach figures, no time-to-hire statistics and no placement claims anywhere on the site — our fact sheet lists what we do publish, prices and terms included.

If published performance numbers matter to you, that gap favors the competitor.

Indeed publishes performance claims.

Its lawyer hiring page states that Sponsored Jobs posted directly on Indeed with Urgently Hiring make a hire 5 days faster than non-sponsored jobs (Indeed data, median United States, Q2 2024 — self-reported).

Glassdoor's employer page publishes the 80% reach figure above, also self-reported.

Treat these as the companies' own numbers about themselves: neither claim is about legal hiring specifically, and we can't verify them independently.

One thing LawFirmHires does not do is promise a hire.

It is a job board, not a staffing agency or recruiter: it does not screen, interview or vouch for candidates or employers, and it does not guarantee that a listing will result in a hire.

Judge it on the published price and the legal-only audience instead.

Which one should you choose?

Choose LawFirmHires if…

  • You want the cost known before you post: $199 for a Standard post or $399 for Featured at launch pricing, one-time, live for 30 days.
  • The opening is legal-specific — an associate, paralegal, docketing clerk or billing specialist — and you want it on a board where every listing is a legal job.
  • You want applicants landing on your own form or inbox, with no candidate profiles or résumé database in the middle.
  • You are hiring for several roles at once and want a monthly slot plan whose posts swap to new openings as seats fill, with no contract.

Choose Indeed if…

  • You hire for roles outside legal too and want one general board for all of them.
  • You want high applicant volume and have the screening capacity to work it — Glassdoor and Indeed self-report a combined reach of over 80% of U.S. online job seekers.
  • You want to start without paying: Indeed says many jobs can be posted free, subject to its terms, conditions, quality standards and usage limits.
  • You want visibility upgrades you can switch on per job — the Urgently hiring label, AI matching, matched-candidate invites — with no long-term contract.

Frequently asked questions

Is Indeed good for hiring paralegals?

It can be part of the mix.

Indeed runs a paralegal hiring page and offers new US accounts a $75 credit to sponsor a first job, and the reach Glassdoor and Indeed self-report — over 80% of U.S. online job seekers together — means a wide net.

The trade-off is screening: a general board brings applicants from every field, and sponsored placement is billed per click or started application.

A legal-only board trades that breadth for an audience of legal professionals.

How much does a Sponsored Job on Indeed cost a law firm?

Indeed publishes no fixed price.

The Standard price is generated by Indeed's recommendation system based on factors like job competitiveness, your hiring timeline and the supply of job seekers; the minimum for a specific job appears on the sponsorship page, and you can set a different amount as long as it meets that minimum.

Sponsored Jobs are billed for job seeker interactions like clicks and started applications, on the first day of the month or when account spending reaches $500, whichever comes first.

What is the $75 credit on Indeed's paralegal hiring page?

Indeed's paralegal hiring page offers a $75 credit to sponsor your first job.

It is only available for new US accounts that post a job, and it expires one year after account creation — after that, users are charged based on the Sponsored Job budget.

Does LawFirmHires have a résumé database?

No. LawFirmHires has no candidate profiles and no résumé database.

Employers add the link where applications should go, so candidates who click Apply go straight to the firm's own form or inbox — the résumé, writing sample and references reach the firm, never through LawFirmHires.

Applicants come from the post you run, not from a searchable pool.

Can a law firm post on both Indeed and LawFirmHires?

Yes.

For high-volume staff roles the two can work together: the general board for volume, the legal-only board for fit.

A practical split is Indeed for roles where any industry background can work, LawFirmHires for roles that need firm experience, such as associates, paralegals and docketing clerks.

Each LawFirmHires post is a one-time payment, so the cost is fixed and known.

What does LawFirmHires cost compared with Indeed?

A Standard post on LawFirmHires is $199 and Featured is $399 at launch pricing (regular $299 and $499), each live for 30 days as a one-time payment; slot plans are $899 a month for 10 live posts or $1,749 a month for 25.

Indeed's sponsored pricing has no published fixed number — billing follows clicks and started applications, with a minimum shown per job on the sponsorship page.

Is LawFirmHires only for law firm jobs?

No. The openings are mostly inside law firms, and the board also lists in-house, government, prosecutor and public defender attorney roles, alongside legal staff roles: paralegals, legal assistants, legal secretaries, intake, docketing, billing, eDiscovery and firm administration.
