Trust & Probate Paralegal

Citadel Law Corporation is a leading estate planning and probate law firm with offices in Irvine and Century City looking to add an experienced full-time probate paralegal to its estate planning team. The Paralegal Candidate must have minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Probate Paralegal, as well as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate. The candidate will work closely with attorneys in all aspects of Trust Administration, Probate, and Trust Litigation. A successful candidate will be expected to be familiar with the probate court, filing petitions with the court, drafting court documents, conducting research, responding to discovery requests, interviewing clients, and managing case calendars. Additional experience in drafting petitioners, motions, oppositions, trust accountings, trust documents and wills and property transfer deeds is also desirable.

Responsibilities:

· Must have experience filing Petitions with the Probate Court

· Researching probate case law, probate notes, and preparing supplements

· Prepare initial drafts of Pleadings and Petitions, and serve Notice documents, Filing documents with the court, including e-Filing and Ex Parte Procedures.

· Faxing, Filing, and e-Filing documents in probate courts located in Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

· Utilize Court’s Online services to investigate Case dockets, Probate Notes, and Local Rules.

· Provide comprehensive Paralegal assistance for trust administration, probate, and trust litigation support.

· Collect facts and personal data from clients

· Respond to opposing counsel’s queries

Qualifications:

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Familiarity with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook

· Able to take direction and work independently with little supervision

· Highly organized and detail-oriented

· Bachelor's degree with paralegal certification

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
