Paralegal - Insurance Defense

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and proficiency in legal research and documentation. The Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex litigation cases, assisting attorneys with case preparation from inception through trial;
• Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized, current and updated in case management databases;
• Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents as directed by attorneys;
• Conduct legal research and gather, organize and evaluate evidence relevant to cases;
• Coordinate and manage the discovery process, including interrogatories, depositions, and document production;
• Summarize medical records, depositions, discovery responses, and other key documents;
• Communicate frequently with clients to gather necessary information and documentation, provide updates, and assist clients with the completion of forms and questionnaires;
• Assist with trial preparation, organize and manage trial exhibits, documents, evidence, and create trial binders;
• Maintain attorney calendars, coordinating meetings, court appearances and depositions and monitoring deadlines for filings, etc.;
• Remain current with changes in relevant statutes, case law, and best practices;
• Demonstrate the highest level of commitment to the Firm, the Client, and the community.

The Candidate:The ideal candidate will possess a paralegal certificate, at least three years of litigation experience, and a thorough understanding of litigation procedures in state and federal court.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. He/she will additionally possess:
