The Role

We're looking for an experienced litigation paralegal to support our attorneys from pre-suit through verdict. You'll carry a caseload of personal injury matters, keep every one of them moving, and be a steady, caring point of contact for our clients.

What You'll Do

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters in Filevine, keeping tasks, deadlines, notes, and documents current so anyone on the team can pick up a file and know where it stands
• Request, track, and organize medical records and bills, insurance information, wage loss documentation, and liens, and build the record that supports each client's damages
• Help assemble settlement opportunity letters and the supporting exhibit packages
• Draft and e-file pleadings, notices, and other filings through the Indiana E-Filing System (IEFS).
• Prepare discovery requests and help draft responses for attorney review, and calendar and track response deadlines so nothing slips
• Schedule depositions, IMEs, mediations, and hearings, and coordinate with defense counsel, court reporters, experts, and courts
• Support trial preparation, including exhibit lists, Bates stamping, exhibit binders, medical chronologies, trial subpoenas, and witness coordination
• Help with lien resolution and settlement closing paperwork
• Keep clients informed by phone, text, and email, answer their questions, and escalate anything that needs an attorney

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal (required)
• A bachelor's degree and a paralegal certificate are required.
• Personal injury experience (required). Plaintiff-side PI is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Indiana e-filing and the Indiana Rules of Trial Procedure
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint/OneDrive
• Filevine experience is a big plus. Experience with Lead Docket or VineSign is a bonus.
• Comfort learning new software and web-based tools quickly
• Excellent writing and phone skills, plus patience and compassion with clients who are hurting
• Close attention to detail, especially with dates, dollar figures, and deadlines
• The ability to manage a full caseload, set priorities, and work well in a busy, trial-focused office

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
