NORTH DAKOTA Consumer Debt Defense Attorney (Remote)

Huron Law Group is an established and rapidly growing national debt defense law firm focused on providing cost-effective legal representation to consumers. Our firm is currently seeking a remote, full-time attorney, licensed in the state of North Dakota, to provide representation and limited-scope legal assistance to consumer clients involved in debt collection lawsuits.

Responsibilities will include representing and defending clients in collection cases initiated by original creditors or debt buyers and, for clients who engage the firm in a narrower capacity, providing limited-scope legal assistance, including reviewing and editing pro se answer drafts prepared by the firm’s paralegals. This position will rarely require complex litigation and/or attendance at final hearings, as clients are enrolled in a debt resolution program, and typically desire to settle through voluntary payment arrangements with the creditors. Where in-person attendance at a hearing becomes necessary, local hearing attorneys may be utilized.

Annual salary is $100,000.00, with additional compensation and benefits including 10 days of paid time off with increases over time, 9 paid holidays, 3 floating holidays, yearly reviews with raises up to 5%, discretionary bonuses, health, vision, dental, and short-term disability insurance, 401k with employer matching, and payment of bar membership and continuing legal education.

Qualifications:

- Licensed and in good standing with the North Dakota Bar

- At least 5 years of prior civil litigation experience

- Experience in consumer debt defense and/or collections preferred
