About the Role
You will support our paralegals from case sign-up through settlement and serve as backup on the front phones during receptionist breaks. The role is in office for the first 90 days, then hybrid (in office and remote). It's a good fit for someone organized who likes variety and enjoys helping people.
What You Will Do
- Send letters of representation, preservation letters, and records and FOIA requests
- Collect initial evidence (police reports, video footage, dog bite and property reports)
- Assist with case setup in Filevine, including Lexis reports on defendants
- Make periodic calls to update clients and check on their medical treatment
- Schedule calls for attorneys and paralegals
- Answer calls from adjusters and clients; cover front phones as needed
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and checks, scan to file, and track certified mail
- Upload medical imaging discs and organize client photos and documents
- Request court filings, file expenses, and track liens
- Prepare settlement documents and checks for client pickup
What We Are Looking For
- 1+ year of law firm or office experience (plaintiff PI or workers' comp a plus)
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Professional, friendly phone presence
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and learning new software
Preferred
- Fluent in Spanish
- Experience with Filevine, CaseStatus, or Anytime AI (helpful, not required)
- Tennessee Notary Public, or willing to become one
Benefits: Salary and benefits package available after a successful 6-month introductory period. Benefits include PTO, health insurance, 401k.
