
Small but fast paced law firm is looking for a motivated and congenial individual to join our team as a receptionist/assistant. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be organized, possess good people skills, and have a professional appearance. The position includes answering phones, taking messages, and routing phone calls for the office.
Prior legal reception experience is preferred but not required, and there will opportunities for on the job training for legal assistant duties if interested. You will work closely with the attorneys and other staff. Work duties include calendaring, scanning, saving electronic documents, electronically filing documents with the court, utilizing Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, greeting clients, scheduling for the attorneys, and some drafting of documents.
Pay starts at $20 an hour or more depending on experience. The position is full time, Monday through Friday. Employer provides paid time off starting at two weeks per year and paid holidays in addition to paid leave but does not provide health insurance. This position will require you to have, or obtain, an Oregon notary license. Costs to obtain a notary license, if necessary, will be paid the firm.
