Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join this firm.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with preparing and reviewing legal documents related to family law cases, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and support agreements
• Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies
• Manage case files efficiently using document management systems like 8am MyCase ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
• Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for case development
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
• Coordinate court filings, schedule appointments, and track deadlines to ensure timely case progression
• Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining strict adherence to procedural law requirements

Skills

• Proven paralegal experience supporting family law cases with a strong understanding of procedural law and litigation processes
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw, along with familiarity with document review and case management software like iManage and PCLaw
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and legal drafting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality standards
• Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all legal documents
