Roach Law Car Accident Lawyers, a growing and well-established St. Louis personal injury firm, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our team.

We are looking for an attorney with plaintiff personal injury experience in pre-litigation, litigation, or both who is ready to take meaningful responsibility for cases and clients. This is not an entry-level position.

The right attorney will have the opportunity to handle quality personal injury cases from intake through resolution, work directly with clients, negotiate significant settlements, litigate cases when necessary, and play an important role in the continued growth of our firm.

The Attorney We're Looking For

We are interested in attorneys with experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury cases in pre-litigation, litigation, or both.

You do not need to be a career trial lawyer to be a strong candidate. An experienced pre-litigation attorney with a demonstrated ability to evaluate cases, communicate with clients, prepare strong demands, negotiate effectively, and obtain excellent results is encouraged to apply.

Likewise, attorneys with significant litigation experience who want greater responsibility and the opportunity to help expand our litigation capabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Depending upon experience, responsibilities will include:

• Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial
• Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and case value
• Develop strategy for maximizing case results
• Communicate directly and regularly with clients
• Prepare and present settlement demands
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel
• File lawsuits and manage cases through litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances
• Prepare cases for trial when appropriate
• Research and negotiate medical liens and subrogation claims
• Assist with new client evaluations and case selection
• Work closely with our attorneys, paralegals, and support staff

Our attorneys generally manage a revolving caseload of approximately 75–125 matters, primarily involving motor vehicle collisions, serious injuries, and wrongful death claims, with experienced staff support.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Missouri law license
• Personal injury experience in pre-litigation, litigation, or both
• Ability to independently manage personal injury matters
• Strong negotiation and case-evaluation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong client-service skills
• Professionalism, judgment, and work ethic
• Commitment to advocating for injured clients

Highly valued, but not required:

• Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
• Deposition and mediation experience
• Jury trial experience
• Serious injury or wrongful death experience
• Missouri workers' compensation experience
• Demonstrated history of obtaining strong results for clients

Compensation

Expected first-year total compensation: $125,000–$250,000+

Compensation consists of a competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus compensation and will be structured based upon the attorney's experience, capabilities, and expected role within the firm.

Highly experienced personal injury attorneys with a strong track record may earn above the listed range.

We are willing to structure compensation aggressively for an attorney who can make an immediate contribution to the firm.
