Senior Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Paralegal to join our personal injury litigation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury cases from intake through trial or settlement, including case management, client communication, drafting legal documents, and trial preparation. This role requires strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of complex personal injury matters including auto accidents, premises liability, dog bites, and wrongful death cases
• Conduct client intakes, initial case evaluations, and prepare summaries for attorney review
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, discovery, motions, and trial documents
• Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trial
• Prepare and respond to written discovery and meet discovery deadlines
• Organize and manage case files (electronic and physical), ensuring documents are timely filed and properly indexed
• Coordinate and manage medical records, bills, liens, and subrogation claims
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
• Calendar and track critical deadlines, court dates, and litigation timelines
• Assist in settlement negotiations and preparation of settlement demand packages
• Draft trial notebooks, witness lists, exhibit binders, and jury instructions when applicable
• Mentor and supervise junior paralegals or legal assistants as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury litigation (plaintiff-side preferred)
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience
• Strong working knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure, local court rules, and e-filing systems
• Proficient in case management software (e.g., SmartAdvocate, Filevine, Clio, or similar)
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable with a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
