Callahan, Inman & Bonzagni, P.C. is seeking an accomplished Senior Family Law Attorney to join our growing Massachusetts family law practice.

We are looking for an experienced attorney who can step into a sophisticated caseload, provide exceptional representation to clients, and contribute to the continued growth and development of our firm. This is an opportunity for an established family law attorney who wants the resources and platform of a leading practice while maintaining meaningful autonomy over their cases and client relationships.

The Role

The Senior Family Law Attorney will handle complex domestic relations matters from initial consultation through resolution, including contested litigation and trial. Matters may include divorce, custody and parenting disputes, child support, alimony, complex asset division, business valuation, modification and contempt proceedings, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and other Probate and Family Court matters.

The attorney will work directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and members of our legal team and will be expected to exercise sound independent judgment in developing and executing case strategy.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a sophisticated family law caseload from inception through settlement or trial
• Appearing regularly in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court
• Handling evidentiary hearings, motions, depositions, discovery, negotiations, mediations, and trials
• Developing strategy in complex financial, custody, and high-conflict matters
• Providing clients with practical, strategic, and responsive advice
• Working with financial experts, business valuation professionals, guardians ad litem, parenting coordinators, and other experts when appropriate
• Supervising and mentoring associate attorneys and working collaboratively with paralegals and support staff
• Participating in the continued growth and development of the firm's family law practice
• Building and maintaining strong professional and referral relationships

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Substantial experience practicing family law, preferably with at least 5–10 years of relevant experience
• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and current good standing
• Significant experience appearing in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court
• Strong litigation, negotiation, writing, and courtroom skills
• Experience handling complex divorce, custody, support, and financial matters
• The ability to independently manage cases and client relationships
• Excellent judgment, professionalism, and communication skills
• A commitment to providing sophisticated legal representation while remaining practical and responsive to clients
• An interest in mentoring other attorneys and contributing to a collaborative firm culture

An established professional network or portable book of business is welcome but not required.
