Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal – Guest & Brady (Fort Mill, SC)
Do you love the satisfaction of a clean closing file and a smooth closing day? Guest & Brady is looking for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal who thrives on keeping transactions moving, loves solving title puzzles, and takes pride in getting the details right. If you know South Carolina closings inside and out and want to join a respected Upstate firm with 20+ years behind it, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Keep every File on track. Review daily task reports and prioritize your workload around closing schedules and transaction deadlines, managing multiple files at once without missing a beat.
Be the hub of the transaction. Coordinate among buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and closing agents, serving as the go-to contact for questions and updates with timely, professional communication.
Clear the path to closing. Review approved title commitments, confirm requirements are satisfied, and help resolve issues involving liens, judgments, encroachments, payoffs, and other title matters.
Build closing packages you're proud of. Prepare accurate, complete closing packages with limited supervision, including Closing Disclosures and applicable Guest & Brady documents, and confirm all payoffs, invoices, and supporting documents are in hand.
Handle the money with care. Coordinate disbursement of closing funds and prepare wire instructions following firm procedures and security protocols.
Finish strong. Confirm documents are accurate and ready for electronic filing or recording, and organize completed files for post-closing review.
Work as a team. Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve issues quickly and accurately, while keeping files organized and protecting confidential client and financial information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
