Overview:

We are seeing an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all phases of case workups including pre-litigation and litigation. Successful candidates will be proficient in legal software, have excellent communication skills and have a knack for time management.

Key Responsibilities:

Support attorneys in all aspects of litigation from filing of complaint through trial and post-trial
Draft, prepare, and file legal documents, including:
- Complaints, answers, and motions
- Discovery requests and responses (interrogatories, requests for production, etc.)
- Subpoenas and deposition notices
Manage and track litigation deadlines in accordance with Connecticut court rules
Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearances
Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, expert reports, and discovery materials
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses
Assist with trial preparation, including:
- Exhibit preparation and organization
- Trial binders and materials
- Witness coordination
Maintain accurate and organized case files within Litify
E-file documents in Connecticut state and federal courts

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
5+ years of experience in Personal Injury
Proficiency in legal software and legal databases (Litify, eCourts, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to ethical standards.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
Relevant understanding of legal research methodologies.
Relevant certifications or licenses related to paralegal studies preferred.

Compensation: The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
