Immigration Attorney

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Part Time Immigration Attorney who speaks Spanish to join our legal team. We prefer someone who lives in New York City. In this vital role, you will provide expert legal counsel and representation for Asylum cases. Your expertise will help individuals achieve their immigration goals while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities

• Advise clients on immigration law procedures, including asylum, and deportation defense.
• Prepare and review legal documents such as petitions, applications, affidavits, and supporting evidence to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Represent clients in hearings before immigration courts.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis to stay updated on current immigration laws and policies.
• Collaborate with clients to develop strategic plans tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.
• Manage case files efficiently, maintaining detailed records of all correspondence, filings, and proceedings.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction(s).
• Proven experience in immigration law with a strong understanding of federal regulations and procedures.
• Strong writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and persuasive arguments.
• Legal administrative experience to manage multiple cases efficiently while adhering to deadlines.

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
