Bilingual Legal Assistant (Spanish/English)

A growing mid-size law firm is seeking a Part Time bilingual (English/Spanish) legal assistant.

Experience handling immigration cases is preferred, but not required. A paralegal certificate is NOT required.

Job duties include:

• Meet with clients to sign contract and set up new file.
• Review and organization client documents.
• Prepare appropriate forms with the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration Court.
• Help clients to complete questionnaires and forms, review status, etc.
• Review files on a regular basis, consult with attorney and prepare regular status reports to client.

Minimum requirements:

• Sense of humor, lots of patience, and professionalism.
• Ability to work with different cultures.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• ENGLISH AND SPANISH FLUENCY is a MUST.
• Previous experience in immigration law is a plus, but not required
• Individual must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and have strong organizational skills.

Training is provided.
