Legal Assistant — Paragould, Arkansas

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and daily office operations in Paragould. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, compassionate with clients, and able to manage competing priorities.

A minimum of three years of legal office experience in Northeast Arkansas is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
• File documents through Arkansas eFlex and maintain accurate case files.
• Coordinate appointments, hearings, and attorney calendars; track deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and office staff.
• Assist with client intake, document collection, discovery organization, and hearing preparation.
• Maintain case information, billing records, and attorney time entries.
• Follow up on assigned tasks to help cases move forward.
• Protect confidential information and handle sensitive matters with discretion.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of legal office experience in Northeast Arkansas.
• Familiarity with local courts, filing procedures, and legal terminology.
• Strong written communication, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and electronic document management.
• Ability to work independently, follow attorney direction, and meet deadlines.
• Professional demeanor and a commitment to respectful client service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting family law and criminal law matters.
• Experience with case management software and Arkansas eFlex.
