Paralegal or Legal Assistant - BK Petition

Job Summary:

Know how to prepare bankruptcy petitions? The Dellutri Law Group seeks an experienced bankruptcy legal assistant or paralegal who wants to build relationships with clients and help them through their cases.

You must have hands-on experience preparing bankruptcy petitions and schedules. We seek a full-time team member for a 40-hour workweek in our office. This position does not involve freelance, remote, or case-by-case petition preparation.

• Prepare Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions, schedules, statements of financial affairs, and related documents under attorney supervision.
• Review information for completeness and consistency, identify missing details, and flag questions for the attorney.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and follow up with patience and respect.
• Track deadlines, maintain organized files, and keep attorneys informed about case progress.
• Recognize questions that require legal advice and bring them to the attorney.

Requirements:

• Prior bankruptcy experience, including direct responsibility for preparing petitions and schedules.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy preparation software. Please identify the programs you have used.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several cases and deadlines.
• Someone who notices what needs attention and follows through.
• A colleague who treats clients and coworkers with kindness and respect.
