Litigation Paralegal

Location: Irvine, CA

Compensation: $40–$55/hour DOE

Schedule: Full-time | Onsite for the first 90 days, with the option to work from home on Wednesdays thereafter

The Opportunity

A well-established and growing boutique law firm in Irvine is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join its litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned paralegal who enjoys taking ownership of cases, working closely with attorneys, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.

The Senior Paralegal will provide hands-on support throughout all phases of civil litigation, including discovery, pleadings, court filings, case management, research, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate brings 8–10+ years of paralegal experience, excellent organizational skills, and strong knowledge of California and federal court procedures.

The current legal team includes seven attorneys, one paralegal, and two legal assistants, providing an opportunity to play an important and highly visible role within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and organize discovery materials, including document review, analysis, tracking, and production
• Prepare and assist with pleadings, motions, briefs, exhibits, citations, and supporting documentation
• Review court filings for accuracy, formatting, citations, exhibits, and completeness prior to submission
• Draft and format sophisticated legal documents, including Tables of Authorities
• Coordinate state and federal court filings and navigate applicable e-filing systems and procedures
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and litigation files across multiple active matters
• Conduct factual and legal research to support attorneys, case strategy, and court filings
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and organization of case materials
• Maintain electronic case files in accordance with established protocols and identify opportunities to improve document management workflows
• Collaborate closely with attorneys, legal assistants, courts, vendors, and other third parties to keep matters moving efficiently

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of paralegal experience, preferably supporting civil litigation
• California Paralegal Certification required (ABA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of California and federal court rules, litigation procedures, and e-filing requirements
• Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including document formatting, page breaks, numbering, citations, and Tables of Authorities
• Strong legal research capabilities using online databases and other legal resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize deadlines across multiple matters
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and MyCase is a plus

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
