Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

Riley, Hewitt, Witte & Romano, P.C. , a defense litigation firm based in the south hills of Pittsburgh, seeks attorney with 1 - 3 years civil defense litigation experience, must be admitted in PA and WV.

Duties

• Manage all phases of litigation from initial case assessment through trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
• Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve disputes efficiently while advocating for clients’ best outcomes.
• Maintain detailed case management records, monitor deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients regarding case developments.
• Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the PA and WV state bars is required.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and legal correspondence.
• Effective oral advocacy abilities demonstrated through depositions and courtroom proceedings.
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
