Litigation Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The New York office of FJ Law is seeking a motivated litigation associate to join its expanding Employment and Labor practice. The ideal candidate is motivated, communicates effectively, thinks independently and strategically, and has experience in employment and labor law.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Qualified candidates will have 3-10 years litigation experience, preferably with experience in labor and employment law.

- Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing and a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

- Experience handling litigation in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and agency proceedings, including the EEOC and NYSDHR.

- Experience developing strategy and analysis, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, taking and defending depositions, court appearances, arguing motions, participating in mediations and arbitrations.

- Motivated and capable of functioning effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and working independently with high standards of performance and a sense of responsibility.

- Excellent research, analytical, organizational, communication and writing skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
