Litigation Associate

Berluti McLaughlin & Kutchin LLP is seeking a motivated and talented Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join our Boston or Hingham office. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop a sophisticated litigation practice, work directly with clients, and advance within a collegial and growing firm.

Our litigation practice concentrates on a broad range of civil matters, including:

• Business and commercial disputes
• Shareholder and partnership litigation
• Contract disputes
• Construction litigation
• Business torts
• Employment litigation, including discrimination and wage-related claims
• Real estate litigation
• Personal injury matters
• Class and complex litigation matters

The ideal candidate will have experience handling matters through all phases of litigation, including:

• Drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda
• Conducting and responding to written discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Participating in court hearings, mediations, and trials
• Legal research and persuasive legal writing
• Direct client communication and case management

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts
• 3-5 years of civil litigation experience
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience with a salary range of $100,000 to $130,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package available, including hybrid work, and discretionary and non-discretionary bonus programs
