Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Duties

• Assist attorneys with case preparation across various practice areas by conducting legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal databases
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity
• Manage case files
• Support procedural law compliance by preparing filings for courts and maintaining strict adherence to deadlines
• Review documents for accuracy, proofread legal writing, and ensure consistency in formatting and style

Requirements

• Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant supporting multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, or civil litigation
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with document review tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines

Pay: $16.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
