Law Clerk

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our busy personal injury practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent law school graduate who wants hands-on experience working on real personal injury cases and developing practical litigation skills.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, comfortable working independently, and eager to learn. Prior personal injury or law office experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

The Law Clerk will work closely with our attorneys and legal team and may assist with:

• Drafting demands, pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence
• Conducting legal research and preparing research memoranda
• Reviewing and summarizing medical records
• Preparing medical chronologies and damages summaries
• Assisting with written discovery and discovery responses
• Reviewing case files and identifying outstanding evidence and documentation
• Preparing settlement and litigation materials
• Communicating with clients regarding case-related information and documents
• Assisting attorneys with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation
• Maintaining accurate and detailed information in the firm's case management system
• Other substantive legal projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Current law student, recent law school graduate, or graduate awaiting California Bar results
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Professional and compassionate communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and online research tools
• Personal injury experience is a plus

This is not a position where you will spend your day performing basic administrative tasks. You will have the opportunity to work directly with attorneys on active personal injury matters and gain practical experience in case evaluation, discovery, medical evidence, damages, settlement negotiations, and litigation.

For the right candidate, there may also be an opportunity for continued employment and advancement with the firm following successful admission to the California Bar.

Schedule: Full-time or part-time opportunities may be considered
Location: Sacramento
