Law Clerk (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

About the Firm

Lemus Law Group is a litigation-focused firm in Miami representing clients in immigration matters, federal civil rights litigation, and Florida state appellate practice.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated bilingual (Spanish/English) law clerk to support our attorneys in research, writing, and case preparation. You'll work directly with the supervising attorney on federal and state filings, and you'll see how cases move from intake through briefing and hearings.

What You'll Do

• Research federal and Florida law, including immigration statutes, BIA and circuit precedent, and constitutional claims
• Draft motions, responses, briefs, and memoranda for immigration court, federal district court, and appellate courts
• Audit citations and check record references in filings before they go out
• Prepare exhibits, service papers, and filing packages under attorney supervision
• Help prepare for hearings, oral arguments, and depositions
• Communicate with clients in Spanish and English as needed to gather documents and case information

What We're Looking For

• Current law student (rising 2L or 3L) or recent graduate awaiting bar admission
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with Westlaw or Lexis experience
• Close attention to detail and comfort working on tight deadlines
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
• Interest in immigration, civil rights, or appellate work

• Location: in office in Coral Gables or Hialeah
• Schedule: part-time or full-time
