Insurance Claims & Coverage Coordinator – Personal Injury

The Kryder Law Group is seeking a resourceful, organized, and persistent Claims & Coverage Coordinator to help establish insurance claims and obtain the information our legal team needs to move personal injury cases forward.

You will open claims with insurance carriers, request policy limits and coverage information, obtain police and incident reports, and communicate with adjusters. You will also research missing insurance information, particularly in premises liability cases involving businesses, property owners, and property management companies.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys tracking down information, asking the right questions, and following through until a task is resolved. Experience in personal injury law, insurance claims, or commercial insurance customer service is especially relevant.

Responsibilities

• Review new case assignments to identify available insurance information, missing documents, and next steps.
• Establish claims with appropriate insurance carriers and obtain claim numbers, assigned adjuster information, and acknowledgment of the claim.
• Prepare and send letters of representation, policy-limit requests, and other approved insurance correspondence.
• Request and track coverage information, declarations pages, and applicable policy documents.
• Research missing insurance information using client documents, police and incident reports, public records, approved research tools, and authorized contacts.
• Investigate property ownership and business relationships to help identify potential insurers in premises liability cases.
• Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, agents, businesses, property managers, clients, and records departments.
• Request, obtain, and review police reports, crash reports, incident reports, and related records for relevant claim information.
• Maintain accurate claim details, correspondence, documents, and follow-up tasks in the firm’s case management system.
• Follow up consistently on outstanding requests and document each attempt, response, and next step.
• Promptly flag coverage denials, conflicting information, unresponsive carriers, and unresolved insurance searches for attorney or supervisor review.
• Keep attorneys and case managers informed of claim status and outstanding issues.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in insurance claims, personal injury legal support, commercial insurance service, or a closely related role.
• Strong telephone communication and professional writing skills.
• Ability to research incomplete information and take initiative when the answer is not immediately available.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple active files and competing follow-up dates.
• Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, online research tools, and case management or claims software.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Experience

• One to three years of relevant insurance or personal injury experience.
• Opening auto or general liability claims.
• Requesting policy limits and insurance coverage documents.
• Researching insurance for businesses or properties.
• Obtaining police and incident reports.
• Working with insurance adjusters and tracking outstanding requests.

A college degree or paralegal certificate is not required. Relevant experience and demonstrated ability to perform the work are what matter.

What Success Looks Like

Claims are established promptly, insurance information is accurate and well documented, outstanding requests receive consistent follow-up, and unresolved issues reach the appropriate attorney or supervisor before they delay the case.

Pay: $42,000.00 per year
