Key Responsibilities

Handle a broad range of immigration matters, including:

• EOIR / Removal Defense — Master Calendar, Bond, and Individual (Merits) Hearings
• Family-Based Immigration and USCIS Applications and Interviews
• Humanitarian Matters: Asylum, VAWA, U Visas, and Waivers
• Motions to Reopen / Reconsider, Appeals, and EOIR filings
• Adjustment of Status (I-130 / I-485), Naturalization, Consular Processing, and RFE Responses

Additional responsibilities include:

• Supervise assigned paralegals and manage caseload from intake through resolution
• Draft briefs, waivers, motions, appeals, and client declarations
• Prepare clients for USCIS interviews, immigration court hearings, and related proceedings
• Conduct legal consultations (in-person and virtual) and develop case strategy
• Maintain professional client communication in coordination with support staff
• Stay current on immigration law developments and apply changes to case strategy
• Travel for court and agency appearances, including outside the Los Angeles area

Qualifications

Required:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing of the California State Bar
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in immigration law
• Strong legal writing, advocacy, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload with minimal supervision
• Willingness to travel for court and agency appearances

Preferred:

• EOIR removal defense experience, including individual (merits) hearings
• USCIS interview and affirmative petition experience
• Fluency in Spanish (bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred)
• Experience with humanitarian relief (Asylum, VAWA, U/T Visas)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, with potential for performance bonuses
