Family Law Legal Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Bilingual Family Law Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will support our attorneys, assist clients, and help manage family law cases from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys with family law cases.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence in English and Spanish.
• Communicate with clients, conduct intakes, and schedule appointments.
• Manage attorney calendars, court dates, and deadlines.
• Organize and maintain case files.
• Prepare court filings, exhibits, and hearing/trial materials.
• Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and clients.
• Answer phones, emails, and other client inquiries professionally.
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; legal software experience is a plus.
• Family law experience is preferred but not required.
• No legal experience required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Professional, dependable, and a team player with a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
