Rapidly growing estate planning firm based in Edina, Minnesota is seeking an experienced, motivated, team-oriented estate planning paralegal to join our team. Guttman Law provides client-centered and relationship-driven estate planning, trust administration, and probate services to individuals and families throughout the Twin Cities and Minnesota. Our firm focuses on providing clients with peace of mind through estate planning.

What You Will Need

• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning, trusts and estates, trust administration, or probate.
• Strong project management skills: you can plan, prioritize, and move many matters forward at the same time without missing deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Minnesota probate procedures and filings, including Hennepin County.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Clear, warm communication with clients and families during sensitive times.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and practice management software.

Nice to have: knowledge of Clio; paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree; estate planning drafting software; notary public commission.

Project and workflow management

• Manage a caseload of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters from intake through closing, with a clear plan and timeline for each file.
• Track and calendar court and statutory deadlines, and follow up to keep every matter on schedule.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, trustees, personal representatives, and financial advisors.
• Give attorneys and clients regular status updates and flag issues early.
• Help build and improve the firm's workflows, checklists, and templates as we grow.

Trust and estate administration

• Work with families and individuals after the passing of a loved one, guiding them through each step.
• Prepare Minnesota probate filings, including petitions, notices, inventories, and closing documents.
• Inventory assets, gather date-of-death values, open estate and trust accounts, and obtain EINs.
• Assist with trust funding, asset transfers, deeds, and distributions.

Estate planning

• Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives under attorney supervision.
• Assist with estate plan review and signing meetings, including witnessing and notarization.
• Provide a truly enjoyable estate planning experience for our clients and their families, and contribute to the team's success even if it means going outside of your job description.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
