Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate

Dickinson Wright seeks an associate attorney to join our Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice group. This position will provide an exciting opportunity to work with our Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation team, involving the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits and executive compensation. It will also afford additional opportunities to work on related tax, corporate, and labor and employment law matters.

Qualified candidates must have:

• 3 – 7 years of practice experience and a strong interest in employee benefits work. Previous experience with employer or union side ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, FMLA and COBRA compliance, employee health and welfare benefits, executive compensations plans, tax law, or labor and employment law is strongly preferred;

• an active license to practice law in the state of the candidate's preferred office, or eligibility for admission by waiver;

• strong communication, legal writing, analytical, problem-solving, and issue resolution skills; and

• business and entrepreneurial sense, along with the ability to proactively manage competing deadlines.

  
  

The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000 to $240,000. Please note that a variety of factors determine compensation, including geographic location, experience, relevant degrees and certifications, and other applicable factors authorized by law. This position also qualifies for an annual merit-based bonus.
