Position Title: Divisional Paralegal
Department: Legal
Location: Potomac Divisional Headquarters
Reports To: General Secretary
FLSA Status: Exempt
Schedule/Hours: Full-time
Work Environment: Office-based role with occasional travel as needed.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work may require occasional travel where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.).

Associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent formal paralegal education with required paralegal certification; bachelor’s degree in legal studies preferred.
At least three years of progressively responsible paralegal experience, preferably with estate/probate, employment law, and contract administration experience.
Strong ability to read, interpret, organize, and track legal documents, court materials, contracts, deadlines, and related correspondence.
Excellent communication, follow-through, confidentiality, discretion, and professional judgment.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
Ability to build effective working relationships with attorneys, officers, employees, advisory organization members, community partners, and families involved in estate matters.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid state driver’s license.
Paralegal or Legal Assistant Certification is required.
