About the Role

An established law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join its litigation practice.

This is an opportunity to handle sophisticated construction disputes with meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and involvement throughout the full lifecycle of a case, from initial claims through resolution and trial.

The position offers remote flexibility, reasonable billable-hour expectations, competitive compensation, and annual bonus opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage construction litigation matters from inception through resolution and trial.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and dispositive motions.

Take and defend depositions.

Prepare for and argue motions and participate in court proceedings.

Review construction contracts, change orders, specifications, and project documentation.

Analyze potential claims, defenses, contractual obligations, and litigation risks.

Work directly with clients, experts, insurance professionals, opposing counsel, and witnesses.

Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Develop and execute litigation strategies.

Manage assignments independently while collaborating with experienced attorneys and legal teams.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of litigation experience.

Active California Bar admission and membership in good standing.

Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice.

Ability to independently manage litigation matters while working collaboratively with other attorneys.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling construction litigation matters.

Familiarity with construction contracts, project documentation, change orders, and construction-related claims.

Experience representing contractors, developers, property owners, insurers, or other parties involved in construction disputes.

Experience handling complex civil litigation through mediation, settlement, and trial.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $165,000–$225,000

Actual compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.

Candidates considered for this opportunity should have 4+ years of litigation experience, active California Bar admission, and relevant experience in construction litigation, complex civil litigation, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.

Pay: $165,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
