Client Coordinator – Diener Law

If you grew up translating for your parents, this job is for you

Maybe you were the kid who read the mail, made the phone calls, and sat in on the appointments because you were the one who spoke English. Maybe you went through the immigration process yourself and remember how scary it was to not know what comes next. Either way, you already know what it feels like to be the person a family counts on.

That is exactly who we want on our team.

Diener Law is hiring a Client Coordinator. This is not a receptionist job. You will be the first real conversation many families have with us, on the phone and in person. A lot of the people who reach out are afraid. Some called once and never came back. Some want help but don't know if they can trust anyone. Your job is to reach them, listen, answer their questions, and help them find the courage to take the step that protects themselves and their families.

You do not need a legal background. You need heart, initiative, and a real hunger to learn.

Why this is not just another front desk job

You may sit at the front desk and greet people when they walk in. But most jobs like that give you a headset, a script, and a ceiling. This one is a starting point.

  • You are helping your own community. The families you talk to every day are facing deportation, separation, and uncertainty. How you treat them in the first five minutes can decide whether they get help at all.
  • We train you to be a professional. You get paid, hands-on training from day one, including a real introduction to immigration law and how a law firm works. You will learn how to handle hard conversations, stay organized under pressure, and carry yourself in a professional environment.
  • You are never on your own. Clear processes, scripts, and coaching. Experienced teammates and attorneys you can turn to the moment something is beyond your role.
  • There is a real path up. Client Coordinators who excel here move into consultation and client development roles. Several of the people leading our teams today started at the front desk or in similar entry roles. We promote from within because we would rather grow our own people than hire strangers.
  • You join something much bigger. More than 300 people work at Diener Law, in offices around the country and on our team in Mexico, all working to protect immigrants. You become part of that.

What you will do

At the heart of this job is one skill: helping scared people make a decision that protects their family. That means relating to them, communicating clearly, easing their fears, and guiding them toward what they often know they need to do but are afraid to start. Day to day, that looks like this:

  • Make Outbound calls to people looking for help and make them feel heard from the first minute.
  • Call people back. Reach out to people who asked about our services, people who hesitated, and people who need more information before they feel ready to move forward.
  • Build relationships with the people who walk in. Learn their story, follow up, and make sure they feel taken care of at every step.
  • Guide people to a consultation by answering questions honestly, explaining how our process works, and reassuring them about what comes next.
  • Keep things organized. Schedule consultations, collect information and documents, enter details accurately, and follow up on anything missing.

There are a lot of moving pieces in a firm our size. The more initiative you take and the more eager you are to learn, the faster you will grow.

Who we are looking for

We hire for character first and experience second. We can teach you immigration law. We cannot teach you to care.

You are probably a fit if you:

  • Have a personal connection to the immigrant experience and want to use it to help others.
  • Can relate to people, earn their trust, and reassure them when they are scared.
  • Are comfortable guiding someone toward a decision they are nervous to make, with honesty and without pressure.
  • Are not afraid to pick up the phone, call someone back, or start a conversation with a stranger.
  • Take initiative. You see what needs doing and do it without waiting to be asked.
  • Show up, follow through, and take pride in getting the details right.
  • Want to grow into a professional and welcome coaching and feedback.
  • Know when to ask a teammate or attorney for help instead of guessing.
  • Speak English and Spanish (or another language common among our clients). This is a strong plus, not a requirement.

Experience in customer service, sales, hospitality, or another people-facing role helps, but we care more about who you are than where you have worked.

This role involves sensitive conversations with people going through some of the hardest moments of their lives. We will train you, give you scripts, and stand behind you so you are never handling those moments alone.
