Michael Garcia, P.A. is seeking a motivated and ambitious Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation practice. Responsibilities

As a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney, you will:

• Manage cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Develop litigation strategies and case plans.
• Draft and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Communicate directly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to achieve successful outcomes.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.

QualificationsRequired

• Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• 0-2 years of Florida civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
• Professionalism, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Experience attending hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Strong client service skills.
• Desire to build a long-term career in civil litigation.
• Self-starter with a growth-oriented mindset.

• Annual salary of $85,000 - $105,000, depending on experience

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

This is an in-person position based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Relocation: Applicants must be willing to relocate before starting work if not currently local.
