POSITION: Chapter 13 Case Analyst

TERM: Full-Time

LOCATION: Grand Rapids, Michigan

COMPENSATION: $25.00 – $30.20 per hour ($52,000 – $62,800 annually), commensurate with qualifications and experience

About the Position

Elizabeth Clark, Chapter 13 Trustee, is seeking a full-time Chapter 13 Case Analyst to join a highly experienced and collaborative team serving the United States Bankruptcy Court. This position involves substantive analytical, financial, and legal case work and plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.

This role is well-suited for either early-career professionals or experienced candidates. Comprehensive on-the-job training is provided, including structured training in Chapter 13 bankruptcy procedures, case analysis, court processes, and office systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Chapter 13 cases at both pre-confirmation and post-confirmation stages
• Prepare cases for §341 meetings and bankruptcy court hearings
• Assist the Trustee and staff attorney at §341 meetings and court hearings
• Draft motions, objections, and other pleadings for filing with the Bankruptcy Court
• Enter and reconcile receipts and case data in case administration software
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, debtors, creditors, and court personnel
• Perform additional analytical, legal, and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Solid math and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment

Preferred (not required):

• Associate degree or higher in legal studies, accounting, business, finance, or a related field
• Experience or internship in a legal, accounting, financial, or court-related environment
• Familiarity with bankruptcy, financial analysis, or case management software

Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage: $25.00 – $30.20, based on experience
