Associate Attorney

The Law Office of Brandon E. White, PLLC is looking to hire an experienced associate attorney. This attorney will take ownership of their cases, exercise sound legal judgment, and produce results.

The right candidate will have three to five years of experience as an attorney, preferably in family law or civil litigation. We are looking for an effective communicator who works with urgency. You should be able to independently manage your own caseload while also having the discretion to know when collaboration or guidance is necessary.

What You'll Do

• Independently manage an active caseload from intake through resolution
• Develop case strategy and provide clients with practical, candid advice
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, briefs, and correspondence
• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, negotiations, and trials as appropriate
• Communicate promptly and professionally with clients
• Work effectively with opposing counsel, court staff, experts, and other professionals
• Delegate appropriately to legal support staff and review completed work
• Maintain control of deadlines, billing, case documentation, and client expectations
• Identify obstacles early and develop a plan to address them
• Contribute to the firm’s financial performance, reputation, and overall success
• Assist with mentoring less-experienced attorneys and staff when appropriate

What We're Looking For

• An active license and good standing with the Tennessee Bar
• Approximately three to five years of relevant legal experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage matters with limited supervision
• Strong legal writing, analysis, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail
• Consistent client communication and professional responsiveness
• The ability to prioritize effectively in a busy practice
• Comfort with accountability, measurable expectations, and performance-based compensation
• A practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal work
• The confidence to make decisions without being careless or overconfident
• A team-oriented attitude and respect for support staff
