Associate Attorney

Taylor Legal NYC PLLC is seeking an entry-level attorney to build a career with our boutique business law practice. We advise entrepreneurs, investors, and growing companies on mergers and acquisitions, investments, commercial agreements, and domestic and cross-border transactions. We value energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn more than prior experience and are looking for someone who brings curiosity, initiative, strong writing skills, and pride in their work. You will work closely with experienced counsel, contribute to substantive matters from the outset, and receive practical guidance and direct feedback as you develop your skills. We are hiring with a long-term view: the right candidate will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, build lasting client relationships, and become an integral part of the firm’s growth and future.

You will work across different stages of a business’s development—from formation and initial investment through commercial expansion, acquisitions, and ownership transitions. With guidance and supervision, your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, corporate documents, and transaction agreements.
• Supporting acquisitions, investments, and other business transactions through due diligence, document preparation, and closing coordination.
• Researching legal issues and translating your findings into clear, practical recommendations.
• Assisting with entity formation, governance, equity arrangements, and ongoing business counseling.
• Participating in client discussions and working with other counsel and advisers, including on matters involving international businesses.

The role is designed to help you understand how individual assignments fit into a client’s broader objectives. You will have opportunities to see how transactions develop, how negotiations affect the documents, and how legal advice supports business decisions.

We are looking for a candidate with:

• A J.D. and admission to the New York bar, or admission pending.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Careful attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
• An interest in corporate law, business transactions, and the commercial realities clients face.
• The initiative to ask thoughtful questions, welcome feedback, and take responsibility for their work.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to client service.

Prior law firm experience is not required. Relevant coursework, clinics, internships, or business experience are welcome. We value curiosity, discipline, and the ability to learn.

Pay: $101,774.98 - $122,567.73 per year
