Associate Attorney

Downtown Los Angeles boutique business law firm with litigation, transactional, and regulatory compliance practice seeking litigation and transactional attorney with 3-7 years experience. Excellent research, writing, and communication skills are favored.

Candidates must be able to manage matters independently while keeping partners apprised of developments and deadlines.

Full time position with paid benefits. Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage caseload involving litigation and transactional matters
• Draft and review motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Draft and review contracts, including vendor contracts and purchase and sale agreements
• Conduct legal research and analysis regarding compliance and to support case strategies and approaches
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other court appearances
• Collaborate with partners and associates on case, transaction, and client matters
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and requirements
• Conduct due diligence on business and real estate transactions

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed with the California State Bar
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong legal research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Salary starting at $150,000
