Family law clients come to us during some of the hardest moments of their lives. We're looking for an Associate Attorney who is a skilled advocate and a steady, compassionate guide — someone who wants to own a caseload, see matters through to resolution, and do it inside a firm that runs on clear systems rather than chaos.

About Us

We're a fully remote family law firm, and we work like a team. You'll practice from home on a core schedule you choose, with colleagues who are a quick Teams message away. Every case is assigned a paralegal, and our legal assistant and operations staff handle calendaring, filing, and billing support, so more of your day goes to your clients and the courtroom. Your salary starts at $120,000 - $135,000 depending on experience, built on a realistic 25-hour weekly billable baseline. The billable hours you put in above that baseline count toward a quarterly bonus. There's also a team bonus tied to the firm's billable hours, so when we all do well, you share in it. We value work-life balance, and we respect your time off. We also value clear, consistent communication with each other and with our clients. The freedom is real, and so is the work: we hold high standards, and we're looking for an attorney who owns their caseload and holds themselves to the same.

We focus exclusively on family law. Our team works on modern tools (Clio, Microsoft 365, Teams), follows documented processes, and measures what matters so attorneys can spend their time practicing law.

What You'll Do

• Manage your own family law caseload — dissolutions, parenting plans, child support, modifications, relocations, and protection orders.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documents.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and trials across Washington courts.
• Be the go-to contact for your clients, keeping them informed and supported.
• Work with paralegals and support staff who handle the operational heavy lifting.
• Track your time and results in Clio and help drive firm goals.

What You Bring

• J.D. and active WSBA license in good standing.
• 1+ years of family law litigation experience, or 4+ years of general litigation experience. Litigation experience required.
• Confident courtroom presence and sharp legal writing.
• Self-direction and organization to thrive in a remote setting.
• Availability during one of these core schedules (Pacific Time): 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., or 8:30a.m.- 5:30a.m.
• Genuine empathy and the ability to deliver hard news clearly.
• Bonus: trial experience, mediation training, Clio experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 per year depending on experience.
• Quarterly billable-hour bonus incentive, plus a quarterly team bonus incentive based on billable hours.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance, with a $450 monthly allotment toward premiums.
• Simple IRA with employer contribution; eligible to enroll at the end of the probationary period.
• 80 hours of paid time off per year, granted in a lump sum at the start of each year (prorated if you start mid-year)
• Fully remote, with in-person court appearances required.
