THE OPPORTUNITY

This position is ideal for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to grow as a lawyer.

The Associate Attorney will work closely with firm attorneys and support staff while developing and managing cases, communicating directly with clients, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in legal proceedings.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage assigned cases from intake through resolution.
• Develop case strategies focused on achieving the best possible outcome for clients.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Represent clients professionally and effectively in court.
• Maintain consistent and timely communication with clients.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff.
• Meet deadlines and maintain organized, accurate case files.
• Utilize technology and firm systems to work efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Continuously develop legal knowledge, courtroom skills, and professional judgment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Michigan Bar license and in good standing.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Prior litigation experience is preferred. Qualified newer attorneys are also encouraged to apply.
