Associate Family Law Attorney

1–3 Years of Experience | Massachusetts

Callahan, Inman & Bonzagni, P.C. is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing Family Law practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to develop into a highly skilled family law practitioner while working alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated domestic relations matters. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and advocacy skills, sound judgment, and a desire to take increasing ownership of cases and client relationships.

The Role

The Associate Attorney will work on a broad range of Massachusetts family law matters, including divorce, custody and parenting disputes, child support, alimony, property division, modifications, contempt proceedings, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Responsibilities will include:

• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, financial statements, and legal memoranda
• Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
• Preparing for and appearing at court hearings and conferences
• Participating in discovery, depositions, negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation
• Communicating directly with clients and opposing counsel
• Working with financial experts, guardians ad litem, parenting coordinators, and other professionals
• Managing cases with increasing independence as experience develops

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should have:

• 1–3 years of litigation and/or family law experience
• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and client-service skills
• The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced practice
• Professionalism, good judgment, and attention to detail
• A genuine interest in building a career in family law

Prior experience in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court is strongly preferred.
